Melanie D. Sigel
Melanie D. Sigel was born and raised in South Florida. She earned her undergraduate
degree from Florida State University (B.A., 2013) and law degree from
the University of Florida (J.D., 2016).
In law school, Ms. Sigel was a two-semester Certified Legal Intern for
the Intimate Partner Violence Assistance Clinic, where she represented
survivors of domestic violence. Ms. Sigel was on the Dean's List and
received a Book Award for earning the highest grade in
Legal Drafting, among other awards for her writing skills. Ms. Sigel was also a research
assistant in the law school's Center on Children and Families.
Prior to joining Cohen Law, Ms. Sigel interned at another prestigious civil
litigation firm in Miami, where she discovered that she wanted to pursue
a career promoting justice and zealous advocacy. She is excited to do
so at Cohen Law.
